Momentum Proteas top order batter Laura Wolvaardt says the Proteas should not look further than their final group 1 match against Bangladesh tonight at Newlands stadium, as they are on the brink of qualifying for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Semifinals.
The Proteas women have picked up one win so far in the tournament, 65 runs victory over New Zealand in their second match, but are still within a chance of qualifying for the Semifinals thanks to New Zealand’s 102 runs drubbing of Sri Lanka on Sunday. That win knocked Sri Lanka out of the tournament and placed New Zealand second in group 1 behind leaders Australia, and a win for South Africa against Bangladesh tonight will see them progress to the semifinals due to a superior net run rate.
Wolvaardt says the Proteas Women should focus on  beating Bangladesh, and not look too far ahead.
