Richards Bay FC coach Vasili Manousakis believes the co-coaching set up in a football teams only works when the results are going well. Manousakis spoke after his side suffered a 2-0 loss at home against Orlando Pirates at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.
The Natal Rich Boyz gave Manousakis the sole respsibility of being head coach two weeks ago, after the club experienced a slump in the second half of the season. Richards Bay previously had Pitso Dladla and Manousakis as co-coaches but have since done away with the set up, following the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns who also changed their coaching set up.
Manousakis questions the accountability factor of co-coaching when things do not go well, and that one person needs to be accountable to the management or football ownership.
