The KZN Netball teams Kingdom Stars and Kingdom Queens had a slow start to the Telkom Netball League power week, as action concluded at the Ngoako Ramahlodi Sports Complex in Polokwane. The KZN outfits picked up victories in their opening matches, as Kingdom Stars defeated Eastern Cape Aloes 41-32, and the Queens edged the Free State Sonoblom by 42-38 to kick star their tournament. The two teams suffered three defeats in a row after their opening wins, which has continued a trend that is all too familiar to the KZN teams after their disappointing performances in the TNL last season.
The tournament will move to the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria on the 2nd of June until 3 July 2023. Kingdom Stars are 5th in Division 1 after four matches played, Kingdom Queens sit in 6th position in Division 2 after four rounds of action.
