11 KZN Municipalities Under Administration

KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala, says the provincial government will continue to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
Zikalala has been responding to topics raised during a debate on his State of the Province Address.
Last week, he raised concerns over a grouping called Amadelangokubona for blocking service delivery meant for the poor.
Zikalala says since 2019 they’ve placed 9 municipalities under administration for failing to deliver services.

He adds that political parties must unite to curb the scourge of Gender Based Violence in the province.
According to police report, cases of rape recorded a 1.7% increase, with over 53,000 cases in 2020 alone and detected 1,638 more sexual offences than the previous year.
Zikalala says now is the time to unite to defeat GBV.
