National Health Minister Joe Phahla has confirmed a fifth case of Monkey Pox in South Africa.

Phahla and his deputy, Sibongiseni Dhlomo, have briefed the media on the developments in the Monkey Pox disease in the country.

This comes after a fourth case of the Monkey Pox was detected in the country last week.

Phahla says they received the information about the fifth person on Wednesday and they’re still trying to investigate if there is any relation between the fourth person and the fifth person as they both recently travelled to Europe.
