A Litre of Fuel Approaching R19 per Litre

Government has confirmed huge increases in fuel prices to come into effect at midnight.
The petrol price will increase by a whopping R1,21 per litre and diesel by R1,48.
Paraffin’s price will increase by R1,45 cents.
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy ascribes the increases to high international oil prices as well as the rand’s weak standing against the dollar.
The average price of Brent crude oil reached its highest level in three years of over $83 per barrel last month.
