The KwaZulu-Natal Funeral Association forum says government is slacking on providing the funds promised for burial expenses.
This as just less than 50 people who were killed by floods, were burried over the weekend
The forum’s chairperson Nomfundo Mcoyi says they will only be able to bury those who had funeral policies as most of the victims were not insured.
She adds the bodies should be buried soon as they may pose health threats.
However, Premier Sihle Zikalala briefing the media on Sunday, said a committee has been put together to deal with funerals.
