ABSA STUDENT ACCOUNT COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Before you enter the competition please read competition rules below:

1. By entering the competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. The outcome of the competition is subject to the decision of the judge, presenter or organizer of the competition, whose decision is final. No negotiations and or correspondence will be entered into after the fact
3. Participants / listeners enter into and take part in competitions at their own risk and Radio iGagasi 99.5FM (Pty) Ltd bears no responsibility for any loss, damage or harm suffered as a result of participation in any of Radio iGagasi 99.5FM (Pty) Ltd’s competition;
4. The ABSA Student Account Competition is brought to you by ABSA and will run from; 8 February 2021 till 12 February 2021 on Noma Yini (12pm- 3pm) and That Drive (3pm-6pm)
5. The competition is open only to; 18- 27-year-old full-time students studying towards an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or qualification of one year or more
6. To enter the competition:

a. listeners need to complete the online entry form and answer the ABSA related question on the ABSA competition page of gagasiworld.co.za
b. Daily and on-air, the presenters will call out 3 names drawn from the online entries, and the first entrant to call the studio back will be taken to air for a chance to win
c. The entrant will be asked a simple Absa-related question to win R2 100. Should entrant have ticked the opt-in box on the online form to be contacted by Absa, they will win an additional R1 000 in cash.

7. All competition entrants, who have; opened an Absa Student Cheque Account between 01 January and 11 February 2021 will go into a random draw for a grand prize of R21 000 cash. Grand Prize winner will be announced on the 12th of February 2021, on That Drive (3pm-6pm). Presenters will call back the winner and put them on-air, winner must be available to go on-air and be announced as the winner
8. Prize: R2 100 cash + R1000 cash for opting in to be contacted by ABSA. Grand Prize: R21000 cash. Winnings will be transferred into winners’ ABSA student accounts
9. Winners will be contacted telephonically. The judge’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. In the event that a winner cannot be successfully contacted, is ineligible to accept the prize, or contravenes the terms and conditions of this competition or of Absa and the radio stations the prize will be forfeited.
11. The prize is not transferrable or payable to another person and cannot be exchanged for any other item.
12. If the entrant chosen does not comply with any of the competition
instructions or terms and conditions, their entry will be disqualified.
13. Payment of the prize money can take up to 8 weeks from the time of contact.
14. The final prize payments will be facilitated by Carat into the winners’ Absa account.
15. Gagasi FM will not be held liable in any way for any direct or indirect loss or damage because of an entrant or winner’s participation in the competition.
16. Gagasi FM will not be held liable for any damages incurred when entering or trying to enter the competition. Absa and the Gagasi FM will not be held responsible for SMS charges, data charges or phone costs incurred while participating in this competition.
17. No entries by any other form will be accepted by Gagasi FM.
18. Gagasi FM reserves the right to disqualify any entrant suspected of fraud, cheating including without limitation through the manipulation of codes or otherwise falsifying data.
19. Entries which contain errors will be invalid.
20. Any entries received after the competition moment will not be eligible to participate in the competition, regardless of the reason for the late entry. Gagasi FM is not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
21. You will be disqualified if:
• You are under the age of 18 at the time of entering the competition
• You have won a competition conducted by Radio iGagasi 99.5FM (Pty) Ltd in the past three months
• You’re an Employee of Absa and Gagasi FM, and/or are their immediate family and friends
