Defence lawyer Advocate Malesela Teffo has objected to further postponement on the murder trial of Senzo Meyiwa.

Teffo is representing the 4 accused while accused number 5 is represented by Advocate Zandile Mshololo

He has cited that any further delays would be unfair to his clients who are currently behind bars in custody

On Monday the Pretoria High Court received a letter from the National Prosecution Authority (NPA) which reveals that it doesn’t believe the second docket in the Meyiwa murder case has any merit.

The docket names Longwe Twala as suspect number one, Kelly Khumalo as suspect number two, while her mother Gladness and sister Zandile are suspects number three and four.

The letter was signed off by the Gauteng prosecutions head Andrew Chauke and Teffo says another day his clients spend behind bars is justice delayed to the family of Senzo Meyiwa.

Meanwhile, Mshololo has requested the Pretoria High Court for a lengthy postponement citing that a lot of information was overlooked in this case.
