AfriForum Challenges Mboweni in Court

Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, is in court today where an application against him is to be heard calling for him to acquit all state organs that purchase and sell goods and services related to the vaccine programme from all Black Economic Empowerment requirements.
The North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria will hear the application launched by civil rights group AfriForum.
The organisation is seeking an order to direct the minister to use his discretion in terms of section 3 of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act 5 of 2000.
