The KwaZulu-Natal Education Department says it has plans in place to ensure that learning is not disrupted when educators visit vaccination sites to receive their COVID-19 jab.
MEC Kwazi Mshengu says a clear plan that will allow for learning and teaching to continue, has been communicated to schools.
He says teachers will visit sites at different intervals.
Meanwhile, Gauteng MEC Panyaza Lesufi says all the provinces should commit to vaccinating their educators within the allocated two weeks so that the vaccination phase can move to the next group.
Lesufi says the faster teachers are vaccinated, the quicker all South Africans can line up for the shot.
