KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says no one should pride himself or herself in looking down on a man who is in touch with his feelings and is able to break down and cry when suffering emotionally or mentally.
He has been addressing the provincial Men’s Month March in eThekwini.
During Men’s Month, the provincial government, alongside the legislature and a number of organisations will be celebrating South African men but also to pay attention to the number of challenges that confront them.
Zikalala has urged men to speak out when faced with challenges beyond their control, also to speak out and seek help when they themselves are being abused in any way.
He says this will help build a better man who is a protector of other as well as himself.
