The EFF has sworn in more than 900 councilors across the country’s municipalities.

Party leader Julius Malema has ordered all their councillors to act with integrity and to honor their offices.

During a briefing, he thanked the people of South Africa for entrusting the EFF with delivering basic services to communities.

Addressing the media in Johannesburg, Malema also revealed that they do not have a member who is a Mayor anymore after they requested their mayor-elect, Selloane Motjoane, to step down from the post because the ANC voted for her.

He says they have discovered that already after the election ANC people had started demanding certain illegal things from her, adding that the party will now persuade the DA to vote for her candidacy.

Malema says additional councillors are still yet to be sworn in.
