Analyst says its not practical to remove Ramaphosa

Political analyst, Ralph Mathekga, says he believes it is not practical for anyone to remove president, Cyril Ramaphosa, at this point in time given the consequences that might result from it.

According to weekend reports, some senior ANC officials including, Tony Yengeni, called for Ramaphosa’s resignation ahead of the ANC’s national executive committee meeting.

Mathekga says if Ramaphosa is removed there is a possibility that opposition parties would push for early elections, which the ANC could perform badly in.

Meanwhile One SA Movement leader, Mmusi Maimane, says it is of national interest for Ramaphosa to declare the donations his campaign received in 2017 when he was running for ANC president.
