The ANC Youth League’s (ANCYL) National Youth Task Team (NYTT) has been given six months to convene a national conference.
NYTT convener Nonceba Mhlauli has told a media briefing at the ANC’s Luthuli House headquarters in Johannesburg, that the mother body has given them this deadline to deliver the conference.
ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule, who has applauded the gender parity, announced the new structure and geographic spread of the NYTT.

Meanwhile, the newly elected ANCYL NYTT has called for young people to be given the opportunity to serve the party in positions of decision-making in government.
They say the ANC should consider this after this year’s local government elections.
Mhlauli says they will hit the ground running, mobilising the youth, ensuring their voice is heard in the country and ensuring that they meet the set deadline for conference.
