The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal says it will not be drawn into any of the Inkatha Freedom Party’s political campaigns by commenting on the removal of an old painting of Zulu royals in Durban.

The party’s comment follows outrage by the IFP yesterday, calling the ANC’s move to paint its election message over the traditional artwork, cheap politicking.

The IFP’s Narend Sign says this is a clear show of action against traditional leaders and the royal family.

However, speaking to GagasiFM news, ANC provincial spokesperson Nhlakanipho Ntombela has this to say on the matter.
