The ANC Youth League’s National Task Team says President Cyril Ramaphosa must resign over the Phala Phala farm theft scandal.
Ramaphosa is accused of covering up the theft of more than $500 000 thousand US Dollars in cash at his farm, which he denies.
An independent panel of legal experts led by former chief justice Sandile Ngcobo concluded that the president may have broken the law and abused his position.
The ANC NEC is expected to meet today to discuss the way forward on how to respond to the Phala Phala farm theft report.
However, the ruling party’s National Working Committee has resolved to recommend to the ANC caucus that the party’s MPs should not vote in favor of the Phala Phala report by the section 89 panel.
ANC Youth League NYTT spokesperson Sizophila Mkhize says Ramaphosa has brought the ruling party into disrepute.
