Anxiety Ahead of Fuel Price Increase

South African consumers are holding their breaths as the petrol price is anticipated to increase by a record high this week.

The department of mineral and energy is yet to make an announcement on fuel price adjustments, however, the price of petrol is expected to increase by R3.50 to R4 per litre from the first of June.

Meanwhile economists have warned that motorists, businesses and consumers will be negatively affected.
