Arsenal could lose their spot at the top of the Premier League in the coming weeks as they drew 3-3 at home to Southampton at the Emirates.
Late goals from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka rescued a point for Arsenal at the Emirates but the hosts couldn’t complete the comeback when Leandro Trossard hit the crossbar in injury time. Mikel Arteta’s side now travel to Manchester City in a game which could see them wrestle back control if they’re to deliver the goods at the Etihad Stadium – something that seems unlikely on the basis of their current shaky form.
Arsenal are not in crisis, far from it as they still sit atop the league, but they will need to produce a far better performance next Wednesday when they travel to Manchester to face Pep Guardiola’s defending champions.
Whatever happens over the next few weeks, a health warning should be issued to Arsenal fans of a nervous disposition.
