AU Urges Peace During CAR Elections

African Union President Cyril Ramaphosa says all political actors in the Central African Republic must desist from escalating tension and abide by the Constitution.

This as the polling stations have opened on Sunday,for the presidential and legislative elections in the Central African Republic.

The United Nations has reported that unidentified armed combatants have killed three peacekeepers in this country, during this period.

Ramaphosa says an end to armed conflictis a prerequisite for free, fair and credible elections.
