Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis believes her side ticked some important boxes in their play despite suffering a 3-2 defeat against Serbia in an International friendly on Monday.
South Africa had a horrendous start to the match as they went 3-0 down in the first 22 minutes of the match, as Serbia showed their physicality and dominance in the opening stages. The African Champions were able claw themselves back into the match and got two goals from Hilda Magaia and Jermaine Seoposenwe. This was the latest step for Banyana in their preparations for this years
FIFA womens World cup.
Coach Desiree Ellis believes her team played really well in open play as they dominated the second half, and ticked a couple of boxes in what they want to improve on as a team.
