Big things ahead for Idols winner Yanga
At just 17 years old, singing sensation Yanga joins the highly coveted ranks of young new stars in South Africa’s music scene. The golden voiced starlet was crowned winner of Idols SA Season 14 this past Sunday in a star-studded event held at Johannesburg’s Carnival City.
Yanga wowed judges back at her Cape Town audition and continued to execute a near flawless run on the show with her key highlight being a spine-tingling performance of Letta Mbulu’s ‘Not Yet Uhuru’ that had the whole nation in tears.
Now a whole R.15million richer and with a recording contract in the bag, Yanga is setting her sites on gold and ready to take her career to new heights like her predecessor Paxton did.
Yanga’s win also marks the second win for Cape Town in a row on Idols. Could the Season 15 star come from Ethekwini?
