Black Sash: SASSA needs to start distributing social relief grants

Human rights advocacy group Black Sash, says if the South African Social Security Agency does not move quickly to iron out issues with the distribution of the R350 special COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress Grant, it risks causing a humanitarian crisis.
Last week, Sassa announced that it has so far paid 10 people in a test run of the special grant.
More than 3.5 million people have applied for the grant.
Black Sash national director, Lynette Marrt, says they are very disappointed.
