British Health Minister Resigns Following a Kiss

British Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, has resigned after he breached social distancing rules by kissing a colleague.

In a letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Hancock says the government owes it to people who have sacrificed so much in the pandemic to be honest when they have been let down.

“We have worked so hard as a country to fight the pandemic, the last thing I would want is for my private life to distract attention from the single-minded focus that is leading us out of this crisis,” Hancock’s statement reads.

Hancock and the woman he kissed in the offices of the Department of Health, are both married with three children.
