Award-winning rapper, Cassper Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo yesterday finally spoke out on social media, regarding the sudden death of his “Rival” AKA.  AKA and his best friend, Tebello Motsoane were killed on Friday night in Durban. The rapper took to the timeline to pour his heart out in a touching condolence message following Tibz and Mega’s untimely deaths. Mzansi applauded Cassper Nyovest for showing humility and maturity regardless of their beef. By the time of AKA’s passing, the beef had lost steam, but it had never been officially squashed.

Babalwa Zikhali said: “Big ups, Grootman. Even though you’re currently being bullied on social media, people accusing you of what you didn’t do, you still have the heart to send out your condolences. Y’all may have had a lil beef, but he was your brother in music.” MP Seven wrote: “I can’t imagine a successful Cassper Nyovest career without Kiernan Forbes. You guys were exactly what you needed for both your careers. RIP, Supermega! Long Live, Cassper Nyovest.”

@MarcelMbewe :Even rivals, know when to show respect… That’s maturity right there… The game always recognizes game.

You are a bigger man Cas, thank you, mate. It is so mature of you to be able to put the differences aside and say what you just said, this is what makes us-ubuntu.

@JerryMaputu, That’s what a true leader does, not succumb to people’s pressure cause many were expecting you to tweet yesterday. Thank you for taking your time & thinking deeply about all situation,Kiernan was a competitor, not your enemy & both of you raised the hip-hop bar higher. THANK YOU It’s good to see that Cassper has matured.

Celebrities Somizi, Nandi Madida, Tbo Touch, Thando Thabethe – as well as United States producer Swizz Beatz – have all taken to social media on Saturday to pay tribute to Fela in Versace rapper AKA.

It’s actually so good to witness Cassper being mature within these trying times. As hard at it is, his message to the late rappers family, speaks volumes.
