Cele Calls for Undocumented Foreigners to be Deported

Police Minister, Bheki Cele, says foreign nationals who are in South Africa illegally should be sent back to their countries immediately.

Cele had been speaking at the Police Ministerial imbizo held in Pretoria.

He says it becomes hard to hold undocumented foreign nationals accountable for engaging in criminal activities as they are in no database and their identity cannot be traced or verified.

Cele says sending them back to their countries is not a xenophobic act but a prevention of crime.
