Chris Hani’s Killer Is In A Stable Condition

The department of Correctional Services says Chris Hani’s killer, Janusz Walus is in a stable condition.

He was stabbed at the Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Facility in Tshwane yesterday, ahead of his release on parole today.

The Department says it is alleged that he was stabbed by another inmate from the same housing unit.

Last week, Chief Justice Raymond Zondo handed down an order in the Constitutional Court to release Walus on parole within ten days.

Department spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo says Walus is in a stable condition.
