Civil organisation Rise Up Against Gender Based Violence has called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to act and suspend Finance Minister Enoch Godongwane pending an investigation against him.
Godongwane has been accused of sexual assault by an employee at Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga
This incident is alleged to have happened over the weekend while the Minister was away in one of the luxurious hotels there.
The victim who lodged the complaint alleges that the incident happened while the Minister was receiving a massage in his room.
Rise Up Against GBV’s Vanita Daniels says this is a chance for Ramaphosa to show that he is serious about dealing with the scourge of gender-based violence.
Minister Godongwane has denied these allegations against him.
