ConCourt rules that Electoral Act is unconstitutional

The constitutional court has declared the current electoral act unconstitutional.
Judge, Mbuyiseli Madlanga, has handed down the judgement saying that it is parliament’s obligation to discuss the country’s affairs.
This means that not only political parties can contest elections at national and provincial legislatures but independent candidates have rights to also contest independently without being attached to any political party.
