COVID-19: Death toll now at 18 in SA

The Health department has reported the death of five more people due to the coronavirus.
This is the highest known death toll in one day since the start of the outbreak.
Gauteng and the Free State have each recorded two of the latest deaths, while the fifth person was from KwaZulu-Natal.
The department says their ages range from 52 to 77.
The number of confirmed cases rose by 96 to 1845.
In total, the virus has now claimed 18 lives in the country.
