EFF Leader Julius Malema says he was expelled from the ANC by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Malema had been speaking at a media briefing in Johannesburg on the latest party matters, including the state of readiness for the local government elections.

He was expelled from the ANC as the Youth League President in 2012, after being found guilty of sowing division in the party and for bringing it into disrepute.

Malema did so by comparing the leadership style of then party president, Jacob Zuma to that of former president Thabo Mbeki, and for remarks on bringing about regime change in Botswana.

During the presser he says Ramaphosa changed the National Disciplinary Committee’s initial recommendation.
