DA Sends Warning to ANC

The Democratic Alliance has accused the ANC of being on the wrong side of history.

Party leader John Steenhuisen says the ANC led government should stand with Ukraine as the country is currently in conflict with Russia

The conflict between the two countries has impacted an increase on food prices globally. The price of wheat and fuel continues to escalate as both Ukraine and Russia are two of the biggest global exporters.

Earlier this month, Chairperson of the ANC Sub-Committee on International Relations, Lindiwe Zulu announced that South Africa will be stepping back to consider the impact and consequences of being too involved in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The party has instead urged the United Nations Security Council to find a peaceful solution on the matter.

Steenhuisen says the stance of the ANC will have devastating impact.
