De Ruyter Gives Update on Loadshedding

Eskom CEO André de Ruyter says the power utility is in the process of finalising the procurement of additional capacity to add to the power grid.
Briefing the media, De Ruyter has announced that the power utility is facing quite a lot of challenges, and the system remains constrained.
Eskom has also announced that stage two loadshedding will be implemented at 5pm to 5am daily until Friday morning.
De Ruyter says as per the announcement by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy the additional capacity is expected to be available between 2023 and 2025.
