The resignation of Eskom’s Chief Executive Officer Andre de Ruyter has been met with mixed emotions.
De Ruyter’s resignation comes at a time when the country is facing the worst load-shedding.
The power utility says he has however agreed to stay beyond the stipulated 30 days’ notice to ensure continuity while Eskom urgently embarks on a search for his successor.
