Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango highlighted the importance of facing Al Ahly with winning momentum on their side, as they will travel to Cairo for their group B clash in the CAF Champions League on Saturday. The Brazilians have the perfect record on the continent this season, as they recorded a 1-0 win at home against Al Hilal of Sudan, and eased passed Cameroon’s Coton Sport 3-1 in Garoua last weekend.

The Egyptian giants have only played once on the continent this season, and suffered a 1-0 loss to Al Hilal away from home, making Saturdays encounter against the DSTV Premiership champions that much more important for the Red Devils. Rhulani Mokoena’s men have the opportunity to repeat what they are doing in the local league and put further daylight between themselves and the rest of the pack in group B.

Onyango also highlighed the significance of this encounter as both teams have developed a rivalry over the years, and believes that going into the match with a healthy winning streak will be good for the Brazilians.
