Khulekani was born and raised in Durban and has lived in Ntuzuma. His childhood was very church based with his dad being a Pastor. Khulekani Mbambo has a twin and two other siblings and they made his childhood very easy. He appreciates spending quality time with his family and friends be it at social events especially since Khulekani enjoys live concerts or just chilling at home.
Growing up as a preacher’s kid (P.K) its not surprising that Khulekani Mbambo values his relationship with God and it is this relationship that comes far above many other things in his life. The relationships he has with family and friends comes a close second. Khulekani Mbambo is married and has been blessed with two children.
When he joined Gagasi FM, Khulekani hosted the show ’Manifest’ between 4am-6am. He has moved to ‘The Mid Morning Hangout’ with co-host Zisto. Now he is hosting The Hangout is with Clarissa Mfeka. The purpose of the show is to inform and educate with a sprinkling of fun and laughter through topics relevant to its audience.
His radio career started in 2015 a contributor for the ‘Fresh Start.’ Growing in that space and being appointed the new host of Manifest is a big deal for Khulekani. He fell in love with Gagasi FM when he was introduced by a friend and he loved the fresh new style Gagasi FM had to offer.
He was working in landscaping at the time and his highlight has being able to start his own company in July 2017 and being able to see the success of owning such a business. Khulekani would love to see himself hosting more of primetime shows and sticking to his niche.
He truly admires the idea of endless possibility within the media industry and feels that there is so much space to grow.
