Don Designs’s new music announcement

Don Design–real name Tshediso Mokoko took to Instagram to announce that he had new music coming up and decided to limit comments—understandably.

The musician has not received much positivity on his timelines since his friend, slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, best known by his stage name AKA was shot on 10 February. The rapper died on the scene on Florida Road in Durban alongside his friend, celebrity chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane.

Recently he announced that he was cooking something in the studio and said,

“Brand new music coming to your speakers real soon.”

The caption was accompanied by a photo of two other people, one of which, AKA’s other friend Da L.E.S.

Shortly after AKA was murdered. Da L.E.S was one of the many people that had Don Design’s back. He came out guns blazing for Don Design to clear the rumours that has swirled around him. Five days after AKA’s murder investigation had started, Da L.E.S went on a Twitter rant and said,

“Please leave Don Design alone. He had nothing to do with this. He’s always had Kiernan’s back and side from [the] beginning till the end. He’d never do anything to hurt him. He has been through enough. LEAVE HIM ALONE! HE NEEDS TO HEAL. We all do.”

According to Newzroom Afrika, Rudolph Baloyi, a lawyer who represented the Forbes family also explained that AKA’s family was also behind Don Design and also believed that he was innocent.

On 7 March, Police Minister Bheki Cele was said to have revealed that they were close to “cracking the case”, News24 reported. However, It’s been a little over three months since AKA and Tibz died and no arrests have been made.
