South Africa’s Under-17 football coach Duncan Crowie says he expects a much open and competitive match when his side takes on Zambia in their second group B encounter at the under-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria. Amajimbos suffered a 2-0 loss to Morocco in their tournament opener on Sunday, and will be desperate to get a positive result against Zambia to keep their chances of progressing to the knock out stages alive. Zambia will also go into this match at the back of a 1-0 defeat against Nigeria, and sit third on the group above South Africa who are bottom of group B.
Despite losing their tournament opener Amajimbos were largely in control of the match against a pragmatic Moroccan side, but coach Duncan Crowie expects an open game against a more attacking Zambia side on Wednesday evening.
