EFF Applauds The country’s Justice System

The Economic Freedom Fighters says it applauds the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) move to introduce, what it calls the long-overdue bill to decriminalize sex work.

This week the department introduced the controversial bill to parliament’s portfolio committee.

Sex work and the question of how the South African legal system should respond to sex work and related activities have been the subject of considerable debate in the country.

The party says it has for the past ten years been calling for adult consensual sex work to be made legal so that those in this industry can be protected by the law and also have benefits enjoyed by other workers.
