The EFF says they are fully aware that there are coordinated attempts to crimilise its leaders through false allegations of crime, including rape ones.

This follows an article by the Daily Sun which implicates EFF Member of Parliament, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, in a rape scandal with information obtained from an alleged police statement.

Following the release of this article, Gauteng police have since come out to distance themselves from it.

Police Spokesperson, Mathapelo Peters, say a case of rape has been opened and is under investigation, but confirms that Ndlozi is not a suspect in the case.

Meanwhile, the EFF says there are embedded elements in with the State working with establishment that are hell bent on linking EFF leadership to crime.

The party adds that they are sending a very strong caution to President Cyril Ramaphosa and what it calls his hunting dogs that they will fight to counter these unlawful and below the belt methods to fight political battles.

This as the EFF believes these attempts are to destroy the integrity of the party and its leadership, and are done to protect Ramaphosa and his faction, which exists to please white people.

“We are a generation that will not be abused and pushed around by apartheid agents and infiltrators of the liberation cause. We will fight back and we will be victorious,” the statement reads.

The EFF further says the crisis of Gender Based Violence and Rape is a huge problem in South Africa and must never be used to fight political battles.
