Elderly woman dies in home invasion

An elderly woman has been strangled and killed during what is believed to have been a home invasion in Chartsworth south of Durban.

Paramedics say a younger woman who was also in the house has been assaulted and injured.

Rescue care spokesperson, Garrith Jaimeson, says police are investigating the matter.
