Electricity State Of Disaster Is Terminated

The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs has instructed the office of State Attorney Sipho Mathebula to revoke the classification of the impact of the severe electricity supply constraint
as a national disaster.
This has been implemented by Minister Thembi Nkadimeng and the head of the National Disaster Management Centre, Bongani Sithole, through publication in the Government Gazette.
The news follows the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse’s legal challenge of the declaration.
