South Africa’s energy crisis has been put under the spotlight as one of the leading factors contributing to the lagging economy.
This was realised at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank’s spring meeting.
The IMF has revealed it has revised down South Africa’s growth projection by negative 1.1.
IMF Africa Department director Abebe Selassie says the energy crisis is a major obstacle for the growth of the economy and job creation.
Salassie says South Africa is projected to grow by 0.1%.
