The National Nuclear Corporation of South Africa has welcomed government’s nuclear plan.
The chairperson, David Nicholl, says the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy’s request for information regarding a two-thousand-500-megawatt nuclear programme, will help the government to determine its cost.
The spokesperson for a Western Cape non-profit organisation, the Southern African Religious Communities Environment Institute, Francesca de Gasparis, accuses government of acting secretively.
