Power Utility, Eskom board chairperson, Mpho Makwana, says the weather forecast shows much colder weeks ahead which means the demand for electricity will increase.
The power utility is currently three-thousand megawatts short compared to what it had in last year’s winter, due to Kusile and Koeberg units down.
Giving an update on the state of the grid and the forecast for the winter months at Megawatt Park in Johannesburg today, Makwana, says it is going to be a really difficult winter.
