Eskom Says There’s Progress In The Recovery Of The Medupi

Eskom’s chief operating official, Jan Oberholzer, says there is progress regarding the recovery of the Medupi power station’s unit four.
He had been addressing the media on the power utility’s operational performance.
Oberholzer says the generator rotor refurbishment has commenced following an explosion in August last year, adding that all assurance and forensic investigations, as well as technical recommendations, have been concluded and two employees dismissed.
He says the power utility anticipates the power station to be operational late in 2024.
