Eskom Suspends Loadshedding Ahead of Long Weekend

Eskom has confirmed that loadshedding has been suspended after rolling blackouts were introduced for the past two nights.

This was possible because the demand for electricity has dropped ahead of the long weekend.

Eskom Spokesperson Sikhonathi Matshantsha says the power supplier will use the lower demand period to replenish its emergency generation reserves.
