EThekwini District Leading with KZN COVID-19 Infections

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says the number of COVID-19 related deaths is increasing rapidly in this province.

He said this during a media briefing, giving an update on the impact of the second wave in the province.

Zikalala says government is appealing to the public to adhere to the COVID-19 regulations and avoid all gatherings that have been identified as super spreaders.

This includes weddings, sporting activities and events.

Zikalala adds that eThekwini district has continued to record the highest number of new cases daily.

KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu says the province currently has enough space in hospitals to accommodate the current patients.
