EThekwini Municipality On High Alert Following Level 2 Weather Warning

EThekwini Municipality says it is on high alert after the South African Weather Service issued a warning on the probability of localised flooding of vulnerable areas within eThekewini.

Roads and low-lying settlements are particularly prone to flooding.

The city says it’s emergency personnel are on standby, and ready to assist as higher rain intensities are expected along the coastal regions of eThekwini.

Head of Communications, Lindiwe Khuzwayo, has urged motorists to exercise extreme caution and maintain a safe following distance while driving on wet roads.
