Extra police deployed to Taylor’s Halt

Additional police members have been deployed to Pietermaritzburg following the brutal killing of eight people at Taylor’s Halt.

Four men were repairing a vehicle when another car arrived and the occupants opened fire. Three of the four men were fatally wounded.

In another incident, five members of a family were killed by unknown suspects.

KwaZulu-Natal provincial police commissioner, Khombinkosi Jula, says he has directed an investigation team to swiftly find the culprits responsible for these callous murders.

He visited the area, yesterday, after the incidents happened.
